My artistic journey began on the family farm, where I drew the animals that surrounded me, sparking a lifelong connection between art and nature. Over time, I realized that my true calling lies in storytelling, which I now explore through a variety of mediums—2D, 3D, and functional work. My art focuses on the profound relationship between humanity and the natural world, using each piece to reflect and deepen our understanding of this connection.
One of my proudest achievements has been creating artwork that has raised over $60,000 in charitable donations over the last two years, benefiting organizations like Children’s of Alabama Hospital. This charitable focus is at the heart of my creative practice, as I aim to use my art to inspire positive change. Each piece I create serves not only as a narrative device but as a platform for supporting causes that protect both the environment and underserved communities.
My largest public artwork to date is the life-size bronze statue Roscoe and Trouper, located at Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville, Alabama. This work, along with others, embodies my belief that every action—no matter how small—can have a lasting, transformative impact.
In 2022, I established my own art business, KMA Studio LLC, where I continue to expand my artistic endeavors and focus on creating work that fosters both social and environmental change. Living and working in Alabama with my dog Berkeley and my horse Jag, I strive to raise awareness, promote sustainability, and inspire action. I hope to encourage others to see the world through a different lens, recognizing their power to shape both their lives and the future of the planet.
